The Problem With Mauritius

For Everything in Mauritius. You need Money.

You need a Job. To Get Money.

To Get a Job. you need Education.

To Get Education. Guess what you need? Right. Money

So the Sensible and reasonable thing to Do here is to get a part time Job and slowly work your Way up yeah?
Now here is where things Get sour

There are Absolutely no Opportunities In Mauritius if you Don't have Money to start with

• No Easy Entry Part Time Jobs

• Side Hustles are Severely Limited

Unlike US, Canada, Europe ETC a lot of those things Don't work in Mauritius. If you don't believe me Check their TOS. GoFundMe Etc. so even if you have the Audience the chance of you Failing are none Zero

Delivery in US and Europe is fairly easy and most of them are Handled by Truck. but in Mauritius you rely on planes and Ships and that makes your Logistics A LOT harder Unlike in the US where you could quite literally drive a car to a warehouse and let someone else from there Handle it. here you NEED planes and that requires money and Logistics

The creative Sector of mauritius is Virtually dead. there's nothing to Support the Artists and no incentive for People from abroad to Come Create here. This is Something I'm intimately Familiar with Cause I personally Approached the Officials of Mauritius about me and Everyone Said the EXACT SAME THING. 

• We are Helpless.

• Nothing we Can do

• We can't Afford it

• FCC will poach us if we Hire you

They have been Pretty explicit about it that they don't want no Involvement...UNLESS you are already a multimillionaire. Quite Literally what they made me understand.

To save you time both of them ask for the same thing
- you need to ALREADY be established
- you need to ALREADY have millions Ready

so basically

"Succeed on your Own FIRST. do it all ALONE. then after several years MAYBE we will CONSIDER helping you"

Unlike Abroad the mentality here is extremely Closed off and gated away. there's severe Division Between people of each level. Check pics online if you don't believe. in the US it's open. people talking, approaching, saying hi. some have Yards. Very open. 

But in mauritius everyone's Quite LITERALLY Walled down and they act Genuinely Uncomfortable when you approach them sometimes unlike abroad where the reaction is Vague Indiference or just normal annoyment but rarely True Discomfort as Seen here.

Basing Ourselves on all of this My point is that to improve and Grow we Need Opportunities and for that we need to Stick together and work as a Singular Unit but All I get here was Ghosting, Shoves and Judgement.

"one Country One Nation" - "rainbow Nation" - "unity" 

All that takes place during march but the very next day they'll judge you harshly for not meeting their expectations.

With all this In mind I want to find a way to help others like me who are facing extreme Prejudice despite having the potential to be Great things in life.

This is If I had to pick. the one thing that killed the most Mauritian Talent. 

"know your worth" 

I heard that a lot but basically they are like
"you need to beg. stay still. wait for years. THEN maybe succeed. but it takes time. lots of times"

unlike in US where they can quite Literally
"yo here's a mic. go and try something"

In Mauritius you don't get Opportunities to Prove your Worth. no Auditions, No Talent Agency, No Network (not that you belong in anyway. you gotta be born in it or Rich) so basically you are stranded and told to know your place which is a very toxic Mentality

During my Research I made a Discovery.
I keep saying that there's no Film Industry in Mauritius.

And MFDC / Art min / MBC all said the same thing. "there's a lot of people like you. 100s"
I didn't think much of it but upon further inspection. they are right. But they're not part of the Human Open Network. no it's something beneath. It's something virtually Impenetrable and hidden out of public entirely.

• No Social Media

• No Whatsapp

• No Direct contact

• No Email

• No Websites 

So there ARE technically film people in Mauritius but all of them in that Network of higher Society.

now. here's the deal. how many more of those Networks are there that we have no clue of?

yeah yeah. big deal.

But here's the thing. those Survey's are not carried out for the Average People.

They are based on 2 things.

1. The Higher ups Opinion

2. Numbers.

I'm not gonna say more on the matter to avoid issues. 

But. you expect honesty here?👀

Another thing. just wild Coincidence. yah I'm imagining numbers here.

There are apparently 127,000 SME in Mauritius.
100 000 Should realistically Attain 100 000 jobs yeah?

Or more reaslitically. ONE of them becomes a Big business so they afford a lot more workers.

But where are they?

I'm Halucinating again?

So my Takeaway from all this and Everything Officials have Told me is that no one and nothing will help us. they Themselvs are helpless and can't do anything about the Island as they stated and They cannot support me or Hire me to let me Help THEM fix it as an Onboard consultant.

So due to all of that I believe that we are helpless and that we should ourselves attempt and do something together as a Single Unit and Actual Solidarity. Many of us are running out of choices here and there doesn't seem to be a job boom any time soon.

So with Zajey consulancy and My Plan I believe we can fix it all.
